This morning I’m having a rough time. Why? Well, the baby woke me at 4:24 to nurse, then, once done, she refused to go back to sleep. Then, my three-year-old, Grace, got up at 4:45. When I told her to go back to sleep, she whined, “But, Mommy, I not tired.” At least I was able to shoo her to her room as I got out of bed. Then, I threw my hair into a pony tail, put on my yoga pants for the day, and took the baby with me so she wouldn’t keep my husband awake who just got home from an overnight shift.
To say I’m tired and grumpy might be an understatement. Lucky for me, there are a lot of funny people on Facebook who make me laugh, often out loud, causing my girls to give me strange looks and ask, “What’s so funny, Mommy?” I pass on the words of my wise mother, “I’ll tell you when you’re sixteen.”
