What to Watch This Halloween

What to Watch This Halloween

Disclosure: I’m a member of the Netflix #StreamTeam which means that they pay for the streaming service in exchange for me posting once a month about the service. All opinions are my own.

I love watching paranormal movies and television shows all year round. But come Halloween, they seem even better and more creepy, scary, or interesting! Luckily, I have a lot of options because I have Netflix. What to Watch This Halloween

Why is Netflix a big deal? Well, they have a ton of great TV shows but they are also adding to their movie options. One of the best shows to come out last year was Stranger Things. In less than a week, I streamed the first season. Just a few days ago, Season Two was released. I’m antsy to watch it. I haven’t because I’ve streamed another great paranormal show, Haven.

To make things easy for you, I’m going to share a list of some of the best movies and TV shows that you can find on Netflix this Halloween!

Television Shows

Stranger Things (2 seasons): Taking place in the 1980s, it starts with the abduction of a young boy and what happens as his friends and family search for him.

Charmed (8 seasons): Three sisters learn that they are witches after their mother and grandmother die. They have a lot to learn about their powers and how to control them.

Haven (5 seasons): Haven, Maine is a town unlike any other. The residents keep developing “troubles” and Nathan and FBI Agent Audrey Parker try to help them.

Supernatural (12 seasons): Dean and Sam Winchester are not only brothers, but a team who fight against demons and other supernatural creatures and events. But at what purpose?

The Twilight Zone (4 seasons): An anthology of terror. This show is a classic that cannot be replicated.

American Horror Story (6 seasons): A murder house. An insane asylum. A show filled with supernatural fears and everyday horrors.

Penny Dreadful (3 seasons): Dr. Frankenstein, a psychic, an explorer, and a cowboy try to protect England from evil. Can they do it?

Bates Motel (4 seasons): This TV show is basically the prequel to the movie Psycho. You’ll learn how Norman Bates turned into a killer.

Scream (2 seasons): Someone thought it would be a great idea to turn this movie into a TV series. It is an anthology show with a masked man trying to kill teenagers.

Movies

1922 (Netflix Original Movie): This movie is adapted from a Stephen King novel. A man’s wife is planning to leave him. He wants the house and land so he kills her. But there will be a price he will have to pay.

The Babysitter (Netflix Original Movie): When a young boy stays up past his bedtime, he learns that his babysitter and her friends are part of a satanic cult. Not only that, but he might not live through the night.

The Addams Family: Classic film adaptation of the TV series starring Anjelica Huston and Raul Julia. It’s one of my favorites!

The Nightmare Before Christmas: A bored Halloween pumpkin kidnaps Santa and takes over Christmas. Nothing will go wrong, right?

Saw: This classic horror film scares anyone who watches it. It is about two men who fall into the clutches of a maniac as they try to survive. (Saw II and Saw III are also available.)

Sleepy Hallow: This legendary story comes to life with Johnny Depp as detective Ichabod Crane trying to solve mysterious deaths.

The Craft: Four teen girls come together to explore witchcraft. Will they use their new skills for good or evil?

Young Frankenstein: This hysterical film by Mel Brooks shows Dr. Frankenstein’s attempts to make a monster.
